The current policy of Proboards (as far as I know) is not to allow direct video embedding in threads by users. That is the reason why we don't see any tag for videos.
Videos can be inserted but only in the Forum Headers & Footers (not on threads) but this is limited to admins only. Just like the animated GZSAG you'll see on the top of this page, that can be replaced with a video link.
Other boards allow video embedding but not proboards. I think one of the arguments not to allow direct video embedding is the consideration to users who are using old PCs or having slow internet connection.
